Be the Host with the Most!!!!!
We need your help. On the third Tuesday of each month, the JCVFD Auxiliary hosts a 6 pm potluck supper prior to the monthly business meeting. Now is the time for auxiliary members to sign up to host a meal for next year. A sign up sheet is posted at the firehouse or you can call Linda Shiplett at 687-2453 or simply use the email on our web site.
Hosting is easy because every member helps. As host, responsibilities include the providing of the main dish (meat) and the bread. You will need to arrive at the firehouse early the day of the meeting (5 pm) to attend to making coffee and tea, setting out the tables and chairs, plugging in the hot plates and securing someone to give the blessing. Don't worry - there are always lots of members that arrive early to help you and answer any questions you may have.
So, please consider volunteering to host a meeting in 2008. Not an auxiliary member? No problem. Go to "Volunteers" on our web site and download a membership form now. We would love to have you and you will thoroughly enjoy being part of a wonderful organization.
